Software Engineer
01/2025 – 04/2026- Built Vandevelde, an AI-powered business automation platform for a construction company using Fastify, Next.js, PostgreSQL, and pgvector. Contributed to AI quote generation from voice/chat via RAG and vector search, voice-based time tracking, automated email-to-delivery-note parsing, and passwordless WhatsApp auth across a multilingual (EN/NL/RO/SK) interface, reducing quote turnaround from hours to minutes.
- Contributed to Jennes Automation, a field-service platform for a Belgian roofing contractor using Fastify, Next.js, and PostgreSQL. Helped build an AI quote builder with RAG, audio input, and e-signatures, plus geo-based lead routing, route optimization, and automated WhatsApp/email digests that replaced manual back-office workflows.
- Contributed to SignFast, a multi-tenant SaaS platform digitizing notary workflows in Belgium using NestJS/Fastify, Next.js, PostgreSQL, and pgvector. Helped develop an OpenAI vision pipeline for extracting structured data from 38+ document types and auto-drafting legal contracts, alongside passwordless multi-party review and a bilingual (EN/NL) notary portal.
- Contributed to Freya-Ergo, an AI-powered occupational therapy platform using NestJS, Next.js 16/React 19, and PostgreSQL (Prisma). Helped deliver OpenAI structured outputs, a confidence-based readiness classifier, and an async BullMQ + Puppeteer PDF pipeline that automated therapist report generation and reduced consultation drop-off.

06/2024 – 11/2024- Developed and optimized real-time web-based multiplayer applications using complex state management, event-driven architecture, and low-latency synchronization to deliver seamless interactive user experiences.

01/2024 – 04/2024- Developed and optimized scalable, data-driven web applications for leishmaniasis case management, featuring complex form workflows, schema-based validation, responsive dashboards, and role-based interfaces using modern frontend architectures and reusable component systems.
How I work

I'm a full-stack and systems engineer in Addis Ababa, working with clients across multiple industries. I build across the stack — React and Next.js on the front, NestJS and Node.js behind it, with RAG pipelines and LLM integrations woven through.
My work tends to live where things get hard: multi-tenant SaaS architecture, AI document processing, and passwordless authentication systems — reliable async pipelines, role-based access, and the pieces that need to hold up in production, not just the happy path.
I move between languages and layers without much friction, and I ship end to end — from the first schema to the metrics that tell me it's holding up.
